Southwood Read-a-thon

This is the PTO’s major fundraiser of the year. From Read-a-thon funds raised, 50% is given to the school to provide books for the library, PE and music equipment, and classroom books, materials and activities that enrich students’ learning experience. The PTO uses remaining readathon funds to provide community building activities and events for our students and families. These include Spooktacular Family Night, Holiday Craft Night, Jingle Bell Run, Talent Show, Neon Glow Night, Fun Run, Popcorn Fridays, assemblies, teacher and staff  appreciation days and much more! 

This is a fun week full of cute gifts to keep students motivated in their reading, incentives for the amount of donations, coffee rewards for teachers, class parties when they reach their goals etc! More details will be sent home closer to the event, and added here.
