Southwood Read-a-thon

Southwood PTO's major fundraiser of the year! Students complete reading challenges and ask friends and family to donate to the school. Out of the funds raised, 50% is donated back to the school in books and literacy materials for classrooms and the library. The rest of the funds are used by the PTO to host family nights like Spooktacular, Movie Night, Neon Glow Night, the Talent Show, Jingle Bell Run, Fun Run, teacher donations, dancing classrooms, teacher and staff appreciation, assemblies, and school activities!

This is a fun week full of cute gifts to keep students motivated in their reading, incentives for the amount of donations, coffee rewards for teachers, class parties when they reach their goals etc! More details will be sent home closer to the event, and added here.
